Prepare a calm way into the conversation
There is no need to act more outgoing than feels sustainable. Write about your preferred format: small groups, walks, books or one-to-one conversations. Exchanging a few questions before meeting can give you a familiar topic. A pause in conversation does not have to be filled immediately with a joke. If you need time to reply, you can say so directly.
- Choose a relaxed topic you have something to say about.
- Suggest a place without a loud entertainment programme.
- Decide in advance how long a meeting would feel comfortable.
A place to start
Choose a relevant example and adapt it to your situation. Do not assume someone has interests they have not mentioned.
I find it easier to meet people away from noisy groups. Could we start by talking about a book or planning a short walk?
Sometimes I take a while to reply, but I enjoy thoughtful conversations. Would that rhythm suit you?

What else is useful to know
Do I need to say that I am an introvert?
You can describe your preferences without a label: ‘I like quiet meetings’ or ‘I feel more comfortable talking one to one’. That helps you agree on a format.
What is available in GuessWish?
GuessWish offers ways to meet people through visual choices, have conversations and chat with AI. These are separate formats. Check the interface for available features, terms and the prices of individual actions.
Can you guarantee a connection or a reply?
No. Interest, replies and willingness to meet depend on the other person. The examples on this page help you start a conversation but do not promise an outcome.
